Noor Jehan’s last appearance in a film… Baji (1963)

This was legendary singer/actress Noor Jehan’s last appearance in a film, not as a leading lady but making a cameo appearance in Baji (1963), on the insistence of director S. Suleman. I think this is the only instance [as far as I know] where a playback singer is sitting in the gathering in the film and enjoying his/her song picturized on someone else.

Apart from Noor Jehan and the cast [which included Emmy Minwalla, Panna, Nayyar Sultana and Zeba], many other Pakistani stars made cameo appearances in this song including Sabiha Khanum, Laila and Tarana.

This classical based song was composed by Saleem Iqbal and sung by Farida Khanum and Noor Jehan.
