Nina was introduced by director W.Z. Ahmed in Ek Raat (1942) as the ‘mysterious Nina’ in a country-wide publicity campaign. After the success of the film, she left her husband Mohsin Abdullah and married W.Z. Ahmed. She worked in many of her husband’s home productions under the banner of Shalimar Pictures. After partition, the couple migrated to Pakistan and Nina worked in few Pakistani films before saying good bye to a distinguished film career. Notable films include Ek Raat (1942), Prem Sangeet (1943), Man ki Jeet (1944), Prithviraj Samyukta (1946), Meerabai (1947), and Akeli (1951).
