Inspired Songs – Come September’s (1961) Title Music and Songs based on it

Hollywood’s Come September (1961, starring Rock Hudson, Gina Lollobrigida) title music was very popular in India/Pakistan during the 60s. Quite a few Indian/Pakistani songs were based on this tune. Listen to the title music of Come September (1961) and two songs based on it.

The original was composed by Bobby Darin.

Samjh na aaye dil ko kahan lai jaoun sanam sung by Naheed Niazi and composed by Muslehuddin for Pakistani film Daal Mein Kala (1962), is perhaps the best adaptation of this tune in my opinion.

Nazrien milien dil dhadka sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik for Indian film Raja (1995) was another song based on the same tune. It was composed by Nadeem Sharavan picturized on Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor.
