Review

Satish, a professor of philosophy, not only believes in truth but practices it. He learns one day, that his wife had been raped by his best friend before their marriage and had borne a child.

His wife did not know the existence of her child for nearly four years as she was told after delivery that the child was dead. The father had made arrangements to bring up the child with a maid servant. Since her father did not wish to disclose the past, she had kept quiet but when now she sees the child, she wants to bring it home and confess to her husband at last the truth. There is no need to say that ultimately he accepts her.

This is perhaps the hundredth film of a fallen woman. But the way the characters have been etched is good and reflects credit on the part of the director.

Mahendra Sandhu, making his debut as hero, does good work and shows great promise. Hansa Maker who also makes her debut, is beautiful and expressive except when delivering dialogue.
