Khursheed Begum in Aage Badho (1947)

Sawan ki ghataoun from Aage Badho (1948) was the only duet singing star Khursheed Begum sang with Mohammad Rafi and the only film where she acted with Dev Anand.

According to Dev Anand’s autobiography “I did my second film called Aage Badho as per my contract with Prabhat Film Studios, this time opposite a famous actress named Khursheed. She was a big star of her days. When I was in college in Lahore, she and the great K.L. Saigal created a musical sensation, appearing together in Tansen. The hostel I was staying in reverberated with songs sung by both of them in that extraordinary hit. When I starred with her in Poona, K.L. Saigal was already dead, but Khursheed was still a star and a rage.”
