Rajesh Khanna was a prominent Indian Cinema Actor – widely hailed as the first Superstar of India. His best years were 1969-1974 during when he rose to unprecedented heights of popularity and was a huge box office draw. His movies are credited with a long list of memorable songs, a number of them rendered by the legendary Kishore Kumar.
He was a great star, so sad that he was forgotten so early in life, I want to know more about the journalist who was his good ‘friend’, Devyani Chaubal, could you please tell me more about her, I hear she was a very mean person.
Devyani was called as “Devi” and she would write in a magazine called as Star & Style. Typical gossip of films stars but she would actually write the truth and that was considered as mean. I found her talks quite good as she was clear and would not hide facts and was not influenced by anyone. Later on she had a stroke and was paralyzed but even then she continued giving verbal reports!
