Waheeda Rehman with Iranian star Fardin in this vintage photo shoot done in Tehran (Iran) in April 1970. Fardin and Waheeda played the lead in Subha-O-Shyam, released in 1972. It was perhaps the first Indo-Iranian co-production produced by B. Radhakrishna and Iran’s Abbas Shahabiz. Chanakya directed the film, which also co-starred Sanjeev Kumar as Fardin’s younger brother. Waheeda played an Indian girl settled in Iran. She had a month’s shooting inside private houses and luxury hotels – they rarely shoot in studios in Iran (1970).
